Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant ready to make a difference in a vibrant, welcoming school community? A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a high-achieving, family-feel primary school in Barnet, rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
This is more than just a TA role — you’ll play a vital part in shaping young lives through targeted booster sessions, interventions, and EAL support for KS2 pupils. The school prides itself on small class sizes, ensuring that every child gets the attention and encouragement they need to thrive. You’ll work closely with experienced teachers and SENCOs, gaining insight into best practices while delivering personalised academic support.
The school itself is a modern, well-resourced setting tucked away in a leafy Barnet neighbourhood, known for its nurturing ethos and collaborative culture. With a strong emphasis on inclusion and pupil well-being, this is a place where both staff and students feel truly valued. The leadership team is approachable and supportive, championing the growth and progression of all staff members.
The ideal candidate
• Has experience supporting children in KS2 (ideally in UK schools)
• Is confident delivering small group or 1:1 interventions
• Has a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Can support EAL learners with sensitivity and adaptability
• Is proactive, compassionate, and a true team player
If you’re looking for a permanent role where you can build meaningful relationships, make a long-term impact, and be part of something truly special, we’d love to hear from you.
