SEN Teaching Assistant
We’re seeking a dedicated and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a vulnerable pupil at a warm, inclusive primary school in Ealing.
This pupil is high-functioning but has recently experienced major life changes and needs a calm, caring, and structured adult to help them regulate their emotions, stay focused, and thrive in the classroom.
The role
• Working 1:1 with a pupil who requires emotional and behavioural support
• Helping the child engage with learning and manage transitions
• Supporting their social and emotional development throughout the school day
• Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Providing consistency, structure and a creative, nurturing approach
Ideal candidate
• Previous experience working with children with SEMH or SEN needs
• Calm, confident and compassionate with strong behaviour management
• Creative, flexible and quick-thinking with a proactive attitude
• Able to commit long-term to provide much-needed stability
• Available for a trial day ASAP
