Learning Support Staff – Complex Special Educational Needs School

The Role:
As a valued member of the specialist team, you will work directly with children who have complex physical needs alongside other SEN requirements. Your role will involve supporting their educational and developmental goals, assisting with daily activities, and adapting to individual needs in a proactive and resilient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support to children with complex physical and educational needs
Implement individualised support plans under the guidance of teaching staff and therapists
Foster positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with pupils to promote their wellbeing and engagement
Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and families
Maintain detailed records and contribute to progress monitoring and planning
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Experience working with children with complex SEN in an educational or care setting
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with physical disabilities and additional needs
Demonstrated resilience, patience, and proactive problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and colleagues
Commitment to professional development and long-term involvement within the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
