Job Title: Attendance officer
Location: East Sussex
Salary: NJC Scale 6 points 18-22 (Pro Rata)
Job Type: Full-Time

Teaching Personnel are working with a fantastic school within East Sussex that are looking for individuals with a passion for supporting students and encouraging them to find a desire to learn and be the best that can be.

We are looking to work with an individual who:

Has at least one year’s related experience of work within a school attendance related service
Has worked with children, young people, parents and families, preferably within an education context
Understand school systems and has an understanding of the issues affecting student truancy and non-school attendance.
Has the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, especially with students, parents, school staff, social workers and other professionals
Is able to work with professionals, including social workers and Family Support workers in order to safeguard children and provide relevant information/attend meetings as required
Is able to work within a timescale in order to ensure quality services delivered in a timely manner, allowing you to support pupils within reintegration programmes as and when appropriate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
