Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant

In this vital role, you’ll provide 1:1 and small group support for students with special educational needs – including those with ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You’ll work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals to deliver personalised interventions that make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Supporting pupils with additional needs in mainstream classrooms

* Providing targeted 1:1 support for learning, emotional regulation, or communication

* Assisting with EHCP implementation and SEN provision tracking

* Helping adapt lesson content and materials for accessibility

* Promoting confidence, independence, and positive peer interactions
