Career Teachers is seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to support students with primary needs of Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) in achieving their full potential within a specialist school in Waltham Forest.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Waltham Forest
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse needs – Primary needs of ASC and SEMH.
Help manage challenging behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
Support students’ social and emotional development.
Participate in school activities and contribute to a supportive school community.Requirements:
A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Experience in a similar role or working with children is preferred.
