Description
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs? I am looking for a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a specialist school for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, active role where no two days are the same. You’ll support small groups of pupils throughout the day—preparing engaging activities, assisting with learning delivery, and helping children navigate the school environment. The role also includes personal care responsibilities, supporting pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
This can be a challenging but highly rewarding environment, so we’re looking for someone who’s positive, resilient, and happy to get stuck in.
The School:
It is a nurturing, creative, and inclusive school supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including:
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Complex Learning Difficulties
Speech and Language Difficulties
They focus on developing the whole child in a safe, inspiring environment where every individual is supported to thrive—both in and beyond the classroom.
What they are looking for:
A proactive, energetic, and hands-on approach
A positive attitude and resilience in a challenging environment
A willingness to assist with personal care as part of daily routines
Experience with SEN is desirable but not essential
A team player with a passion for helping children reach their potential
