A full-time opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team on a temporary basis. The role involves assisting with day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the effective running of key financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Process and input income data into financial ledgers

  • Reconcile petty cash and assist with banking and cash handling

  • Support invoice processing and financial reporting tasks

  • Record and manage income from a variety of sources, including fundraising platforms

  • Provide administrative support and ensure compliance with relevant financial procedures

  • Provide cover and support to colleagues during periods of absence

What Were Looking For:


  • Minimum of four National 5 qualifications or equivalent

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of data accuracy

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Team player with a flexible and proactive approach

Desirable:


  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 200

  • ECDL or equivalent IT qualification

This is a temporary position which could become permanent, based in Airdrie – 35 hours per week with 1 day working from home. FTE is £23,969
