Start Date: September 2025 (Interviews/Trial Days Taking Place ASAP)
Day Rate: £90 – £105 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract Type: Long-Term to Permanent

About the Role
Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in the LE11 area of Leicestershire. This is a long-term Teaching Assistant opportunity, with the potential to become permanent, starting in September 2025. Trial days and interviews are currently being scheduled for suitable candidates.

The school provides full-time, tailored education for pupils aged 4 to 13 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside associated conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With a current intake of 76 students, the school offers a structured, nurturing environment where individual development is prioritised.

Key Responsibilities

Provide targeted support to students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD needs.
Assist in the delivery and adaptation of individualised education plans.
Support teaching staff in both classroom and outdoor learning environments.
Encourage the development of positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
Work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and support staff to meet each student’s needs.What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children/young people with SEN or SEMH.
Previous experience in a relevant role eg. education, youth work, mentoring, support work, sports coach, sports etc.
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
