SEN Teaching Assistant – Romford

Are you a patient, passionate, and proactive individual with a desire to support children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Romford that is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team.

Whether you’re experienced in SEN or looking to step into your first role with the right attitude and enthusiasm, we want to hear from you!

The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH).

Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.

Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Support pupils with personal care, transitions, and emotional regulation as required.

Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in an SEN or classroom support role (school-based or informal).

A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour and emotional needs.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for supporting pupil development.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
