Applications are invited from motivated individuals to fill the role of Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator.
Based in the Department of Laboratory Medicine but working across the entire of NHS Lothian as part of a team, this role will support the POCT Manager with an increasing number of POCT activities across Lothian. The POCT team in Lothian supports users and equipment across 3 acute hospitals, 7 non acute hospitals and 80 GP surgeries.
While the post will be based on one site in the first instance there will be an expectation to be available to work across all NHS Lothian sites.
The post duties will include: staff training, stock checking, stock ordering, maintenance, troubleshooting POCT equipment and IT and communication with company representatives.
Good communication and organisational skills are vital. Experience with POCT or laboratory equipment would be advantageous.
Full time 37 hours per week.
