Accounts Assistant required. My client is a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, based in the centre of Edinburgh. They are seeking an Accounts Assistant who is currently working towards their accountancy qualification and is looking for a new challenge to join their friendly and welcoming team.

Accounts Assistant Position Overview
Prepare year end accounts for a variety of clients
General bookkeeping duties
Prepare VAT returns
Prepare management accounts
Prepare company tax returns
Manage a portfolio of clients as your experience builds
The successful applicant will be required to manage various workflows at the same time and be confident in dealing directly with clients.
Accounts Assistant Position Requirements
2+ years previous experience working in an accountancy practice environment
Experience preparing year end accounts with little supervision (essential)
Knowledge of Quickbooks and Xero (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident dealing with clients on a daily basis
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, hard-working and focused individual, with previous experience working in an accountancy practice environment.
Accounts Assistant Position Remuneration
£25,000-£28,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
20 days annual leave + bank holidays
Hybrid working available (3 days in the office/2 days at home)
Flexi working available (core hours of 10am-4pm)
