Firmin Recruit are currently working with our established transport client based in East Kent to help source an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a 3–6-month contract role.

Role: Accounts Assistant 3- 6-month contract role

Hours: 8.30 am – 5pm Monday – Friday

The Role:

The Assistant accounts person will assist the Accounts Office with the daily financial accounting processes of the company.


* Purchase Ledger scanning and processing of invoices onto Sage

* Sales ledger & credit control duties. Ensuring that payment has been made and dealing with queries

* Assist with processing expenses & credit cards

* Accounting reconciliations

* Cashier

* General administration and office duties as required including answering phone calls and dealing with visitors

* Posting Journals

* Handling communication with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person

* Ad hoc duties as required
