We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden that is seeking committed and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join their team in September. These roles involve working closely with children in Key Stage 1 and 2 who have been identified with ASD and SEMH, offering tailored 1:1 support throughout the day.
You will be part of a nurturing environment where developing communication, social understanding, and emotional regulation are key goals. The school places a strong emphasis on collaborative working and values classroom support that adapts to meet each child’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering consistent 1:1 support to children with ASD/SEMH
Supporting with structured activities, transitions, and self-regulation
Using personalised strategies for behaviour management
Assisting the class teacher with differentiated planning and progress monitoring
Leading or assisting in small group instruction when required
Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesAbout You:
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, or similar needs is desirable
Calm, empathetic and consistent in your approach
Able to follow support plans and work flexibly within the classroom setting
