ASD Teaching Assistant
Location: Barking and Dagenham
Salary: £85 to £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join our special schools in Barking and Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment and help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of an ASD Teaching Assistant:

Support students with ASD in the classroom and during activities.
Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver tailored learning experiences.
Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
Help students with personal care needs if required.
Monitor and record students’ progress and report back to the class teacher.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to ensure individual learning needs are met.
Requirements for the ASD Teaching Assistant role:

Previous experience working with children with ASD or in a special educational setting is preferred.
A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
A commitment to promoting the wellbeing and development of all students.
A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential.

Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
