Position:ASD Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: GreenwichContract: Full-time, Term-time only Salary: Competitive, based on experience Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

Remedy are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role involves providing specialised support to help students with ASD access the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, adapting learning materials to suit their needs.- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assist with creating structured, consistent routines to support students’ learning and development.- Support students in developing social and communication skills, using appropriate strategies and tools.- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to monitor and assess students’ progress.- Assist with the integration of sensory activities and behavioural strategies to manage and support students’ specific needs.- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

– Experience working with children or young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).- A strong understanding of ASD and experience with specific strategies for supporting students on the spectrum.- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to provide consistent support.- Relevant qualifications in education, SEN support, or autism-specific training are desirable but not essential.
