Swanstaff is currently seeking a skilled Assembly Operative to join our prestigious client in Sidcup, specialising in the design and manufacture of Complete Door Systems for mental health and challenging environments. This role focuses on supporting the Alarm Fitting Team in producing high-quality security systems for a global client base.
Role Summary:
As an Assembly Operative in the Alarm Fitting Team, you’ll be responsible for assembling alarm systems using a variety of specialised tools and equipment. Success in this role requires effective communication, strong teamwork, and a high level of precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble alarm components using equipment such as a million machine, chop mitre saw, drills, and cutters.
* Ensure proper handling and accurate assembly of parts to meet quality standards.
* Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines.
* Organise and store materials in the correct racking area.
* Pick materials and assist in gathering raw materials under supervision.
* Uphold the company’s core values.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Previous assembly experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
* Proficiency with hand tools and equipment such as million machines, chop mitre saws, drills, and cutters.
* Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
* Reliable, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
