About the role
Were looking for an Assistant Chef to support our Catering Supervisor 2 days a week in the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen at Bedford Court, a high-quality registered care home that offers older people a relaxed, safe, and welcoming place to live.
Please note, there will be no split shifts or night work, this role is to work daytimes only.
About you
We are looking a personable, friendly and a good communicator who works well as part of the team. Acting as team supervisor when on shift, you will use fresh, good quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible, to prepare and cook delicious nutritional meals for residents and visitors.
With previous relevant catering experience producing meals in a commercial kitchen, you will ensure our reputation for food quality is consistently maintained. You will also have working knowledge of Food Safety regulations and will preferably hold a Level 2 Food Safety qualification, although this is not essential as training will be given.
