A vibrant, inclusive school in Hillingdon is looking to appoint a confident and skilled Autism Specialist HLTA to provide targeted academic and pastoral support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You’ll be an integral part of the SEN team, working with pupils across Key Stages to promote progress, independence, and confidence.
Your Role Will Involve:
Leading structured interventions and small-group sessions for autistic pupils
Working collaboratively with the SENCO and class teachers to adapt and deliver learning
Supporting communication and emotional regulation using strategies like PECS, visual schedules, and sensory tools
Supporting with planning and leading lessons under teacher guidance
You’ll Need To Have:
Proven experience working with children or young people with autism
Prior experience in a UK school setting as an HLTA or TA with HLTA responsibilities
Excellent communication and behaviour support skills
Confidence using autism-specific strategies and a proactive, flexible approach
A passion for inclusive education and supporting neurodivergent learners
