Band 3 Phlebotomist

£13.79/hour

Full and part time covering a Monday to Friday, 08.00-16.00 service

Hertfordshire Community Trust (HCT) are looking for a confident Phlebotomist to join under a long term placement contract to support in the Phlebotomy clinic at Cheshunt Community Hospital and to see housebound patients in the local community in the Cheshunt area. ideal with will be empathetic, compassionate and caring to patients who struggle having bloods taken. The candidate must be able to work independently without supervision. You will be working alongside experienced phlebotomists and receptionists.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collects blood samples from patients using venepuncture techniques
  • Dealing with and resolving difficult situations
  • Ensure bottled samples are labelled and packaged correctly
  • Answering departmental phones when needed
  • Perform administrative tasks when required

What you’ll need:

  • Phlebotomy Certificate or evidence of experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working within hospital settings
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • Driving license and a car
