The role – Behaviour Mentor
I am working with a SEMH School based in Lambeth that are looking for a new Behaviour Mentor to join their team! In this role you will be working with key stage 3 & key stage 4 students out of class, you must be an approachable, enthusiastic and confident person with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. As a Behaviour Mentor you must have strong behaviour management skills and must use de – escalation techniques where necessary. To be considered for this role you must have experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
The school – SEMH
This SEMH school is based in Lambeth and caters for students aged 11 – 16 years old. They aim to support not just academic progress and development, but also social, emotional progress. They focus on developing life skills, helping them to become independent, and to plan for their future. The school’s curriculum and intervention programme support this, working towards giving their young people the skills to communicate with respect and articulacy. The school expect the young people, the parents and carers and all other professionals to work together to help the young person to achieve and develop their interests and to build confidence.
