Job Advert: Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Waltham Forest
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
GSL Education is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant in Waltham Forest to work in special schools. If you have previous experience in an SEN setting and a passion for supporting students with Special Needs, this is an excellent opportunity to make a difference.
Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be providing support to students with a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning needs and behavioural challenges. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help foster a positive learning environment and implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs.
Work alongside teachers to create and implement personalised learning and behavioural strategies.
Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional wellbeing.
Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in an SEN setting is preferable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children with complex needs.
A positive and resilient attitude, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
