My client is a global design brand with over 40 years of experience, known for its visionary products and remains a family-owned and independently operated business. They are located in the heart of Clerkenwell, and they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with experience in contract work, ideally with furniture or textiles expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities within a designated geographic area. Develop tailored approaches that align with clients’ unique needs, business objectives, and goals.
  • Prepare customer proposals with internal support and negotiate agreements.
  • Manage project opportunities through all phases, from initial evaluation and quotation to post-installation follow-up and support.
  • Identify key decision-makers and engage with potential clients to promote company solutions and services.
  • Represent the company as a brand ambassador at key business meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Gather feedback from current and potential customers and share insights with the internal team.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Passion for design and 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, ideally in the contract furnishings industry or a related field.
  • Resilient, resourceful, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM and project management software.
  • Excellent project management, communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ethical, trustworthy, and able to build strong professional relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
