Care Home Advocate – Manchester
– Initial 3 month fixed term contract
– Health and Social Care background required
– Salary up to £28,000 pro rata plus travel costs
A reputable organisation is looking for an Advocate/Social Care Work professional to cover their Manchester City region. The role will be responsible for visiting clients in care homes to ensure they are happy with surroundings, have a representative and that care plans are in place. Duties will include:
– Supporting clients to help them understand their rights
– Working in line with legislation across mental health, care and human rights acts.
– Ensure care provided is within the clients best interests
– Raise any safeguarding concerns
To be considered suitable you will need the following skills/experience:
– Ability to commute to care homes in the Central Manchester region (mileage costs covered)
– Social care background and understanding of legislation
– Experience in advocacy would be advantageous
