This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop within a dynamic, engaging, and supportive working environment. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to strengthen our team with a Quantity Surveyor who brings a proactive mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will play a vital role in both pre- and post-contract commercial duties, working across a wide range of civils projects including public realm works, road construction, and pavement renewal schemes. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor, the ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities: Assisting with tendering and estimating Reporting to Commercial Manager on commercial performance of projects Liaising and working closely with Project Managers and Site Engineers to ensure smooth running of Projects Completing Cost / Value Reconciliations on the project and sub-contract packages Identifying and agreeing variations Compiling and agreeing valuations and final accounts Procurement of materials Obtaining and evaluating subcontract quotations Placing orders with suppliers and sub-contractors Building relations with the Client and their team and attending progress meetings Essential Criteria: Degree in Quantity Surveying Knowledge of Civil Engineering construction methods Experience of Construction Contracts, particularly the NEC Experience of the various Methods of Measurements Efficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Valid driving license Desirable Criteria: 5 years relevant experience Closing date for applications is:Sunday 8th June 2025.
