Job Title: Clinical Negligence – Legal AssistantSalary: £23,000 – £25,000Location: Sheffield, S1Key Tasks:Providing support to other fee earners, solicitors, and partners Managing matters at all stages, from taking the client’s initial instructions through to archiving, in line with office and accounts procedures Obtaining and preparing file documentation. Liaising with clients, counsel, or other experts as appropriate. Taking contemporaneous notes during conferences. Liaising with the Accounts department to process disbursements and manage billing. Preparing electronic bundles. Maintaining diaries and arranging appointments as required. Continuously maintaining legal knowledge and skills. Contributing to business development efforts.Key Skills:Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to handle enquiries in a client-friendly and efficient manner.Good typing skills. Knowledge:Proficiency in Windows, Word, MS Teams, PDF documents, and Excel. Experience:Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role with client contact. Other:Flexible and proactive attitude. ???????Excellent written English for producing documents for clients, the court, and other parties. Strong spoken English for resolving telephone enquiries. A satisfactory absence record, or a valid explanation for high absenteeism.
