JRS Associates have partnered with a leading aerospace and precision machining company to find a skilled CNC Miller – Setter, Operator, Programmer to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects and play a key role in ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards.

Package:

* Hourly Rate: £17.00 – £19.00 per hour (DOE)

* Shift Pattern: Nightshift – 08:45pm – 07:00am (Monday to Thursday)

* Nightshift Allowance: X1.33 on Basic rate

Key Responsibilities:

* Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines to create components according to customer and drawing specifications.

* Ensure accurate programming, cutting, and identification of materials to maximise stock utilisation and minimise waste.

* Maintain accurate documentation on computer-based stock control systems and supporting paperwork.

* Conduct quality checks to ensure full compliance with customer requirements.

* Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Train and support other operatives as required.

Requirements:

* Experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating milling machines.

* Ability to read and understand cutting patterns to optimise material utilisation.

* Familiarity with health and safety practices, including COSHH and risk assessments.

* Self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented.

* PC literacy for documentation and record-keeping purposes.

* (Desirable) Valid counterbalance mechanical handling license and machine maintenance skills.
