The Role:
Working as part of the Kitchen Team, this position requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.
The Commis Chef plays a vital role in assisting the Chef de Partie and supporting in the daily operations to ensure we are providing a positive dining experience for our guests.

Role Specification:
- Assist with the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes as directed by the senior chefs.
- Assist with the ordering and ensure that sufficient stock is maintained.
- Ensure all food served in the restaurant is at the standard required.
- Ensure all related food hygiene regulations are followed by yourself and the kitchen team.
- Promote and maintain a high level of hygiene in the kitchen using cleaning schedules.
- Ensure the daily completion of food and fridge temperature sheets.
- To have input, compile and design regular monthly menus using fresh ingredients.
- Maintain a positive professional atmosphere throughout the kitchen area; lead by example and assisting where help is needed.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Executive Chef, and Head Chef.
Personal Specification:
Essentials
- To have a passion for cooking and food preperation.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food safety practices.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Committed to being part of a driven team that is aiming to achieve quality and high standards in the kitchen.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and quality standards.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends.ll relevant guidelines.
Desirables
- Experience with large volume covers.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Food Safety Training.
- To be keen to share your knowledge and learn new skills.
Further Information:
- 45 hours per week
- 5 days out of 7 per week
- Typical shift patterns:
- 08:00 – 17:30
- 13:30 – 23:00
