About the Role
Our client is a dedicated neurodiversity community organisation that supports the emotional health and well-being of neurodivergent children, young people, and their families. They are looking for a Community Engagement Mentor to build connections within the community, provide guidance and support, and help individuals access resources that empower them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with neurodivergent children, young people, and families to provide tailored support.
Build and maintain relationships with local schools, healthcare providers, and community organisations.
Deliver group and one-to-one mentoring sessions to promote confidence, resilience, and self-advocacy.
Facilitate workshops and information sessions on neurodiversity and well-being.
Signpost families and individuals to relevant services, support groups, and resources.
Encourage participation in community events and initiatives to enhance inclusion and engagement.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reporting. Requirements:
Essential:
Experience in mentoring, community engagement, or support work.
A strong understanding of neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD, and other learning differences.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individuals and groups.
Experience in delivering workshops, training, or group activities.
A passion for promoting inclusion and accessibility. Desirable:
A relevant qualification in mentoring, education, social work, psychology, or community development.
Experience working in schools, community settings, or healthcare.
Knowledge of local services and support networks. Benefits:
