Are you passionate about food and community? Join us at Lightbites Café, a vibrant hub in Ashford, Kent, where we serve meals and snacks to our local community and dedicated staff. We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook / Supervisor to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position in a community café, working alongside one part-time staff member. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving delicious meals and snacks
- Cooking up to 60 meals and teas daily for children aged 3 months to 4 years.
- Managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the café and reconciling daily takings.
Key Details
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: £22,977 per year
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Location: Applicants must live within 20 minutes of TN23 4EY.
What Were Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience working in a café or restaurant environment.
- Food Safety Knowledge: A working knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Reliability: The ability to travel to work each day and consistently meet the needs of the role.
