About The Role
As we continued to expand during this exciting time within the Telecom Industry, a rare opportunity has arisen at Morrison Telecom Services, and we are now looking for a Dispatch Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Brentwood on a permanent and full time basis.
There may be requirements within the role to attend other sites with accordance of the business needs.
The responsibility of this individual will be the managing and coordinating of appointment & non appointment based orders. You will be allocated several field engineers within a region, for whom you will be expected to assist & support daily to ensure they are able to honour their scheduled commitments.
This role also requires the candidate to have a full understanding of the contractual Service Measures, ensuring they apply this knowledge when managing the full end to end process from job receipt to closure. Weare looking for a candidate with strong customer service and Microsoft Office skills. You will be an individual thinker, have experience working under pressure and have excellent organisational skills.
Experience working within the Telecoms industry would be beneficial, however for the right candidate, full training will be provided to get you where you need to be.
Key Duties:
- Managing & monitoring the daily and weekly work schedule of the technicians in your allocated regions, to ensure each customers appointment is attended within the allotted timescale
- Identifying daily failure risks, proactively managing the reallocation of appointments to ensure ZERO missed appointments
- Handling inbound/outbound calls from on-site engineers
- Second line support, supporting all field engineers, offering technical assistance and advice helping the engineer meet the clients SLAs
- Daily jeopardy reviews of allocated works, ensuring live closure of orders, to align with the contractual Service Level measures
- Assist engineers run down their work in a timely manner throughout the working day
- Maintain contact with engineers throughout the day, ensuring any failed installs are accounted for and closed correctly with sufficient notes to assist the client resolve any outstanding issues
- Ensure all jobs are accounted for and closed by the end of the day
- Working closely with our client to ensure our performance is consistently exceeding contractual requirements
- Monitoring all work orders to successfully meet contractual SLAs
- Ensure that defined processes are always adhered to
- Answer and action any queries or requests received from the client
- Communicate with field team managers and area managers of any issues throughout the working day
Essential Person Requirements:
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Full competence using IT systems and Strong Excel knowledge
- Passion, Drive and Enthusiasm, with the ability to work competently under pressure & tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work as a team member, promoting the team spirit and sharing of ideas.
- Ability to work alone, delivering on daily duties
- Working in a Utility field previous
Desirable qualities:
- Scheduling experience within the telecoms industry preferred but not essential.
- Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) planning knowledge
- Understanding of technical terminology and good excel knowledge
- Ability to multi-task to high standards with exceptional attention to detail
- Telecom Experience with planning knowledge or onsite experience.
