Credit Controller

  • Location: Felixstowe
  • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time, 1 Month Duration
  • Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our client’s counts team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will ensure a proactive approach to collecting outstanding debt to meet collection targets. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of our business and requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Maintain accurate records of chasing activities and payment promises.
  • Follow guidance from the team leader to effectively address issues.
  • Assist with the workload of other team members as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reducing the number of days debts remain overdue.
  • Manage and monitor new customer account setups, including setting and controlling credit limits.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with operational teams across the Group.
  • Assist managers with ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Present and communicate key information to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations.
  • Provide cover and support across other Finance Assistant roles when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
