The Role:
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our residential services in Plymouth. You will support the current Manager in overseeing the care team, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered along with supporting the growth of the branch through business development and client engagement.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the management of day-to-day operations: Assisting the Manager in coordinating and supervising the care team to ensure smooth service delivery.
Support the branch’s growth by identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and enhancing service offerings.
Team leadership and supervision: Mentoring and developing staff, conducting supervisions, appraisals, and supporting the recruitment of new care staff.
Quality assurance and compliance: Ensuring compliance with all CQC regulations and internal quality standards. You will contribute to audits, incident reviews, and improvements in service delivery.
Liaising with stakeholders: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, health professionals, and local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
On-call duties: Participating in the on-call rota, offering out-of-hours support and ensuring continuity of care.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
Experience: Ideally 2 years of experience in a similar role within the homecare or healthcare sector, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications: A minimum Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable.
Knowledge: A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements within residential services.
Leadership skills: Youll need to be a natural leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and developing a team.
Organisational skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient operations and high standards of care.
Commitment to quality care: A passion for delivering excellent care and promoting the dignity, independence, and well-being of service users.
Flexibility: It is a very large area that is covered, the ideal candidate needs to be able to adapt to changing needs of the business, there will be travel involved; therefore a full driving licence is required.
