Job Advertisement: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (Term Time Only)

Location: New Farnley, Leeds

Hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Permanent

Are you passionate about working with young children and dedicated to providing high-quality care and education? my client is a small, family-run nursery in New Farnley, Leeds, offering a warm and nurturing environment for 2-5-year-olds. Their nursery prides itself on delivering exceptional care and support to families, and we are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their a team.

About the Role:

As a valued member of our nursery, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day care and education of our young children. We are looking for a kind and caring individual with at least 2 years of experience working with toddlers. You will need to come in ready to make a difference, using your knowledge and skills to contribute to the nursery’s high standards.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience in carrying out the Key Person role, including observing, assessing, and planning for children’s learning and development.
Be confident in working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring each child receives the individual attention they need.
Be able to establish strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider nursery team.

Key Responsibilities:

-Act as a Key Person, providing tailored care and support to individual children.

-Carry out observations and assessments in line with the EYFS.

-Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.

-Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment

-Communicate effectively with parents and carers to share updates on children’s progress.

Requirements:

A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a nursery setting.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and experience in carrying out the Key Person role.
Passion for working with young children and a kind, patient nature.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
