Our client, a reputable public sector organization, is seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join their team for a 3-month contract. This role involves delivering high-quality electrical services to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency in public sector facilities. Key Responsibilities for the Electrician Role: Electrical Inspections & Testing: Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations. Installation & Maintenance: Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on public sector properties and equipment. Fault Finding & Repairs: Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to ensure safe and efficient operation. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all electrical work adheres to health and safety regulations, including accurate record-keeping and certification. Collaboration: Work as part of a team or independently, liaising with other trades and departments to deliver efficient service. Essential Criteria for Electrician Applicants: Qualifications: Must hold City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) and City & Guilds 2382 (17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations). Experience: Proven experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in a public sector or facilities maintenance environment. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and current regulations. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues effectively.
