Hales Group is seeking an Energy Officer to join our client’s team on a temporary basis for up to 12 months supporting residents in the Ipswich Borough.

The key purpose of this role is to promote and deliver the service to eligible residents of Ipswich with a focus on supporting the more vulnerable residents. You will support residents with grant applications and evidence gathering to access the warmer home grants.

You will assess each client and determine what support they need to navigate the system and provide this in the form of home visits, contractor liaison, evidence gathering and linking with other services to facilitate a wraparound support network to ensure, as far as it is reasonable, that when the job is completed the client has a safe home environment. In addition to this you will need to identify other areas of support your client may need and refer to appropriate providers.

To be considered for the role of Energy Officer you will have;
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in a customer facing environment and working knowledge of the benefits system and basic domestic energy efficiency. You will be able to work flexibly as part of a team and have a caring and empathetic approach when dealing with the personal circumstances of vulnerable clients. This is a role for someone who wants to make a difference, enjoys being part of a team and enjoys a challenge.

Due to this role being community based it is essential that you have your own vehicle.

HOURS: Monday to Friday 37 hours (part time will be considered)
LOCATION: Ipswich
SALARY: £26,421 – £28,770 per annum
TERM: Temporary – up to 12 months
