Location: Commutable to Chatham, Kent (hybrid working)
Remuneration: £25,000 P/A + discretionary bonus

We are a small Engineering Company based in Chatham, which was founded in 1974. We specialise in products used in industrial, scientific and defence equipment. These products will include a range of electric motors and drives, motion control components, and enclosures.
The role of the Engineer Technical Advisor – Astrosyn Products will involve:
- Pre-Sales Engineer position providing technical support to sales team, contractors for all queries relating to Astrosyn products such as: motors, drives and associated products.
- Offering support to the sales team to generate accurate quotations and specifications.
- Responding to pre and post installation questions from Customers.
- Liaising with Customers, Suppliers and Head office on a regular basis.
- Work with the Quality Department to improve quality of products and processes and assist with investigations and process control.
- To provide full engineering and technical support across the business.
- Providing specialist advice, product or process knowledge, and output requirements. Utilising innovation and creativity to solve problems and implement continuous improvement.
- Onsite visits to Customers/Suppliers to provide technical support.
- Due to the nature of the role & the industry you would be working in, you will be required to be able to achieve Baseline/SC clearance.
The ideal applicant will be an Experienced Technical Support Engineer with knowledge of:
- Electric Motors, Drives & Pumps and associated products.
- HNC/HND or Degree level in Electrical/Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
- Familiar with ISO9001:2015
- Be able to work independently and part of a small team.
