An Outstanding-rated Sixth Form College in central Birmingham is looking for a Graduate Academic Coach in English to support students across A-Level English and GCSE resit programmes. Whether you’re passionate about literature, language, or creative writingthis is your chance to share that passion and shape young minds.
What Youll Be Doing
-
Working 1:1 and in small groups with students to develop confidence, comprehension, and communication skills.

Helping students prepare for English assessments, improve written work, and express their ideas clearly and confidently.

Supporting learners who may have SEN or barriers to learningbringing empathy and encouragement to every interaction.

Working alongside classroom teachers to engage, inspire, and keep pupils on track.

Helping students develop a lifelong love for reading and writing.
Who We’re Looking For

An English graduate (2:2 or above) who genuinely cares about helping others succeed.

Someone with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.

A calm, empathetic presenceespecially valuable when supporting learners with SEN.
