Salary: Up to £28K (dependent on experience + bonus + benefits)

The opportunity:

We are looking for ambitious engineers to join our team and develop their career as a Technical Publications Author or Illustrator. If you’re the right person for us, you will join a supportive environment surrounded by passionate engineering authors while being part of a collaborative and driven team. You will join a training program to become an Author or Illustrator and learn to focus on the customer requirement, manage stakeholders and assist with delivering security for the UK and its partner nations.

As a Technical Publication Author or Illustrator you will deliver technical publication manuals for operator and maintenance solutions to major programmes developing the latest Complex Weapons capabilities for the UK Armed Forces in response to advanced threats in all domains (Air, Land, and Sea).

You will have the opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to developing requirements and functional architectures, analysing performance and supporting trade-off studies, planning and managing missile system certification activities, all whilst playing your part in a successful missile systems design team.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Electrical or Mechanical qualified at HNC/HND level with a minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance or servicing environment.
  • English Grade 5 / C or higher.
  • A Passionate and Dedicated individual to become an integral part of delivering MBDA’s high-end capabilities into the armed forces.
  • The creativity and practicality to work with complex problems and derive logical solutions.
  • Adaptability and innovation in a varied and often fast-paced role.
