EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant Hammersmith & Fulham

A nurturing and culturally diverse Primary School in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham are looking to recruit an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant.

As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working with children in Reception who have autism, and who are pre-verbal. You will provide academic, social and emotional support as an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, working with children on a 1:1 and / or small group basis.

The school uses a model of experiential learning, which allows children to learn through experience. This links different aspects of the curriculum together, giving children a rich and varied learning experience. Children are proud of their learning community and genuinely enjoy the experience of learning. The use of technology and media is a strength of the school.

Working in EYFS Reception

Supporting children with autism who are pre-verbal

Working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis

Working alongside a range of professionals including class teacher & SENCo

Long Term & Full Time until at least July 2025

£90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Good academic record (degree ideal but not essential, A levels & GCSEs)

Good understanding of SEN is required

Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN, would be ideal

Passionate about supporting children with SEN

Calm and compassionate nature

Ability to demonstrate patience and sensitivity
