If so, Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and work in one of our client schools in South Shields.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a client primary school in South Shields. The school is a vibrant and inclusive primary school that values the development of every child. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team is committed to creating a stimulating and caring atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
Foster a welcoming and engaging environment that promotes children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
Assist in planning and delivering creative activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
Provide one-to-one or small group support for children, including those with additional needs.
Monitor and record children’s progress, sharing observations with the teaching team.
Promote positive behavior and ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

A genuine passion for working with young children.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent (desirable).
Previous experience working within an Early Years or primary setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt to children’s individual needs.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
