Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant.

Are you passionate about working with young children and helping them thrive in their early learning years? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community and support our youngest learners in their educational journey.

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Portsmouth
Start Date: March 2025
Contract: [Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary]

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children
Work with small groups or individual students to support their learning and development
Encourage children’s independence, communication, and social skills
Assist with observing and tracking children’s progress
Help maintain the classroom, resources, and learning areas
Support children in their personal care routines where needed
The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young children, preferably in an EYFS setting
A positive, caring, and patient attitude
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
A genuine passion for supporting early childhood development
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
DBS checked (or willingness to undergo a check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
