Fabric Technician / Handyperson – London
4 Month Temp assingment with the possibility of a temp to perm contract
Skilled Careers are recruiting for a Handyperson / Fabric engineer, to join a leading property maintenance company.
The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of general building services within a commercial environment
The purpose of the role is to assist the Technical Services team in the provision of FM Services, whilst delivering a high-quality service.
The role will include assisting in the operation, of repair and maintenance of Building, Handy person / fabric duties.
The successful candidate must be available to start in early January
Duties and Responsibilities:
* General Handy person duties
* Carpentry and joinery (Fire Doors)
* General decorating, fixing repairs, painting & making good.
* Ensure effective lamping replacement is undertaken for all bulbs and tubes
* Repairing all building faults (Tiling, hanging pictures, window frames, Doors, Walls, Ceilings and floors)
* Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers if needed
* Assist the engineering team to ensure that all planned and reactive engineering activities meet and exceed both service levels and customer expectations.
Personal specification
* Building Maintenance experience
* Experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
* Good verbal communication skills
* Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service
* To have a calm manner and able to work under pressure
* Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand
Duration: 4 months minimum
Pay: £20.00 per hour – plus overtime
Hours: Shift pattern – rotates – 7.00am to 16.00pm 2nd week 10am – 19.00pm,
Monday to Friday, with over-time optional
