Who are Ansar Projects?
We are a support provider who believe that people we support should be at the centre of everything we do. Ansar Projects was set up 13 years ago to provide specific support for one person. Within Ansar Projects we believe working as a support worker is more than just a job, it can be the start of a varied career.
What does a Support Worker do?
The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives. Supporting someone with a learning disability isn’t just about personal care, it is so much more. It is about supporting people to enhance, and broaden themselves and what they do physically, emotionally and socially. Developing their environments and communications. This could be through learning new life skills such as cooking or actively seeking out new choices and opportunities, engaging in education and social interactions. While some people may have more complex behavioural needs, we still endeavour to meet their needs through offering the same opportunities in a way that best supports them.
Please note, that assistance with personal care is required for this role.
