Essential andDesirableCriteria:

  • We are looking for a female Support worker(Under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1: general occupational requirements) we onlyrequireFemale candidates at the present time. These posts are open to female applicants only as being female isdeemedto be a genuine occupational qualification under the Equality Act 2010).
  • Passionate, dynamicwomenwho wantto help the people we support to lead fulfilled livesand must also be able tomaintainthehigh standard of careexpectedwithin one of our schemes.
  • Compassionate, kindwomen whohavea genuine interestinand commitment to caring for people with learning/physical disabilitiesandmental health issues.
  • Must havestrong communicationand interpersonal skillsandpossessthe ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previousexperience as a support worker, carer, or healthcare assistant preferred but not essential as full training and support isprovided.
  • Full driving licence desirable but not essential.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • You will workas part of aclose-knitteam, basedinone of our schemesassistingtheservice usersin a homely environment.
  • You will supply24/7 care on a rolling rota – covering early, late, weekend shiftsand wake night shifts where applicable.
  • You will havea pivotal role in an individuals care team, supporting them tohelpmaximise independence, andgivethem the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
  • You will helpservice usersparticipatein social and recreational community-based activities.
  • You will supportindividuals in their daily activitiesfor example byaccompanyingthem to appointments andonoutings.
  • You will ensureall records are up-to-date andaccurate.You willmonitorand reportchanges in behaviour or healthrelated matters.
  • You will helptomaintaina safe and clean environment forthe service users.?
