  • Base Location: Croydon, London/ Hybrid ( 2 days in the office, 3 days home-based)
  • Employment Type:Part-time 25 hrs/week (Mon-Fri, 5hrs/day), temporary until 21/10/2025
  • Salary: £14,000- £15,000 DOE

Trading as emap for its B2B division, Metropolis International is a fast-growing business, privately owned Media Group with over £50m of annual revenue, structured in two divisions consumer media, and business-to-business media. In both parts of the business, we run print magazines, digital content and both face-to-face and virtual awards, conferences, and other events. Metropolis is actively looking at acquiring more media businesses. We employ over 480 people in offices in Croydon, Fleet street, Devon and Dublin.

Overall Purpose of the Role:
To manage and maintain the sales ledger Cash payments. Ensuring both new and existing payments are reviewed and allocated correctly.

Key responsibilities:
Download the daily banking.
To allocate the payments as per remittances or other instruction.
To help with the allocation mark-ups to ensure payments are posted to the correct customer account.
To work with Credit control on allocation queries.
To work with sales on pre-payment (Proforma invoices) to confirm receipt to facilitate trading.
To post cash to the relevant ledger.
The coordination of Subscription fees within the business.
General administration.

Skills and Experience:
This is an entry-level role into the world of AR (Accounts receivable) and so looking for someone who is either in this role currently, seeking part-time opportunities or returning to work after a career break or who can illustrate they have transferable skills that can be used to perform this role.
