We are looking to recruit a talented General Maintenance Site Operative to join our dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis for our Northampton depots at Grange Park (NN4 5FB) but you may also be asked to support our other sites nearby. A company vehicle for work purposes is provided. This role offers a Monday to Friday shift pattern from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. If you have 2-3 years’ building maintenance experience, preferably in a logistics environment, and/or have previous School Caretaker experience, we would love to hear from you. The Role: As a General Maintenance Site Operative, you will ensure our premises are maintained safely and effectively and we continue to deliver on H&S and customer requirements. Specifically, you will support and monitor contractors at the site, ensuring they are working to pre-approved risk assessments and method statements. You will undertake periodical site maintenance checks and basic repairs, ensuring compliance with relevant machinery-related legislation and Health and Safety procedures. Additionally, you will: – Identify and report the need for major repairs – Use PPE as required – Undertake regular site audits and escalate any abnormalities Please note, this role will may require working with heights. About You: To be considered for this role, you will need: – 2-3 years’ experience in general building maintenance – Basic plumbing and basic carpentry skills – Good communication and customer service skills – Good organisational skills and be adept at problem solving – Good level of IT literacy – A full driving licence with no more than 6 points We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
