Experienced General Teaching Assistant – Northolt (Ealing)

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Term-Time Only
Schools in Northolt are seeking a General Teaching Assistant with at least 6-12 months of school-based experience to support teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or 2 from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a varied role supporting both whole-class teaching and targeted group interventions, working alongside experienced teachers in a structured and engaging classroom environment.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day lesson delivery and classroom routines
Leading small group interventions in phonics, reading, or numeracy (e.g. using Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle)
Supporting pupils with EAL, lower prior attainment, or mild additional needs
Encouraging engagement, independent learning, and positive behaviour
Assisting with classroom prep, displays, and admin tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
At least 6-12 months’ experience in a UK primary school as a TA or Learning Support Assistant
Strong understanding of the national curriculum at Key Stage 1 or 2
Confidence leading small groups and adapting activities for different learning styles
Experience supporting pupils with EAL, SEMH, or low attainment
Excellent spoken and written English and good numeracy skills
A calm, friendly and enthusiastic approach to learning
