Governance Co-Ordinator

Location: Royal College of Surgeons, 38-43 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London WC2A 3PE (Hybrid position – 2 days per week working from the office)

Salary: £24,000 – £25,000

Hours: 35 hours per week

The British Association of Urological Surgeons is seeking to recruit a Governance Co-ordinator to join their team.

Providing support to the Head of Education and the BAUS Section Executive Committees, you will act as the first point of contact for governance related queries and demonstrate good governance administrative services across BAUS and its membership.

The role involves providing full administrative support to the BAUS Section Executive Committees, including drafting agendas, taking and distributing minutes actioning items and monitoring progress.

You will be expected to coordinate and administer the elections and committee membership processes for the BAUS Specialist executive roles, including the Chair, Vice-chair and Secretary positions, and the election of BAUS regional representatives.

You will be responsible for administrating and collating BAUS Surveys and co-ordinate Sectional input to requests for responses to consultations from professional bodies, including NICE.

You will be an integral part of the team exploring the use of and facilitating the adoption of digital technologies, including AI, to streamline administrative processes to improve output.

You will need a minimum of two years’ experience working in a similar administrative function in an associated professional body and must be an experienced, fast and accurate minute taker. You will need to demonstrate your ability to prioritise and handle multiple assignments, showing excellent attention to detail. You will need a patient and unflappable nature and be someone who is prepared to take ownership of processes.

The position offers hybrid working (2 days in the office), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible working arrangements and an employer pension contribution of 16%.
