Working days are Wednesday (PM), Thursday & Friday.

Here at Stonewater, we are looking to appoint a Governance Officer someone to support the team in safeguarding our top regulatory rating for governance. The role provides comprehensive, efficient, and high-quality services to Stonewater non-executives and the teams other customers.

You will manage and plan the arrangements for meetings of Stonewater boards and four of its committees/panels, including attendance at meetings to record proceedings when required. You will provide personalised support for, and advice to, the non-executives, enabling them to fulfil their roles with Stonewater effectively, and manage the fulfilment of statutory requirements under Data Protection legislation. You will be responsible for the regular and structured review of delegations and other documentation supporting the governance, risk and assurance framework and its communication to colleagues, and complete regulatory returns and the fulfilment of other governance processes by proactively maintaining all governance records and registers.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold or have a genuine interest in working towards a relevant governance qualification and/or data protection.
  • Be comfortable working with IT systems, with the ability to enter data accurately.
  • Have experience of successfully managing competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Have a calm and professional manner, with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Have excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with non-executives, executives and other senior colleagues as well as peers and advisers.
  • Be well organised, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Have proven administrative experience.
